Our story
How we got here.
Leick Construction started in Mills County, Iowa in 1997. Nearly three decades later we're still based here, and most of our crew lives in the same communities we work in — we're one of the larger employers in the county.
We work as a civil contractor for general contractors, developers, and public agencies. Our crews handle site demolition, prep, and construction; MSE and structural retaining walls for civil, commercial, and residential jobs; trucking and truck brokering; and soil and aggregate mining out of our own pits. Company-owned equipment and in-house trucking keep it all moving.
We're registered in Nebraska and Iowa, permitted in a number of other states, and carry full liability and workers' compensation coverage. Contractors like Kiewit, JE Dunn, Boyd Jones, and Whiting-Turner have brought us onto their projects.

How we work.
Our own crews do the work
Demolition, earthwork, grading, retaining walls, trucking, and material supply are handled by our own crews — not subbed out and coordinated from a distance.
Company-owned equipment and trucking
Our own fleet and in-house trucking keep material moving on schedule, so deliveries and haul-off stay coordinated with the work in the field.
A superintendent on every job
General contractors get one accountable partner with a dedicated site superintendent — a single point of contact from the first cut to final grade.
